Menu Plan for Week of Dec 26, 2010
I really enjoy holiday weekends as things are generally quieter and I don’t feel guilty making extra desserts. For New Year’s Eve dinner, I’m planning to make devils on horseback or bacon wrapped oysters. Plus we’re having chocolate fondue which should be fun.
Breakfasts: Guacamole deviled eggs, sliced oranges
Lunches: Leftovers, salads
Dinners:
Sunday: Chicken heart gumbo with sausage, okra, and mashed acorn squash, green salad
Monday: Salmon chowder, fruit and greens salad
Tuesday: Oven fried chicken, collard greens, mashed sweet potatoes
Wednesday: Greens soup, leftover chicken, orange coleslaw
Thursday: out
Friday: New Year’s Eve: Oysters in bacon, steak, mashed cauliflower, sauteed spinach, chocolate fondue
Saturday: Steak soup, salad, garlic and cheese biscuits
