Feed Your Mind: a Food Revolution

OK, I’m a little bit late to the game, but I wanted to make sure to point out this fabulous video which is the TED talk of Jamie Oliver:

Jamie has his reality show on Huntington, WV that airs each Friday night. I watched the last two episodes last week and although I don’t typically like reality television, I was riveted. And saddened. Saddened that the kids didn’t know the name of common vegetables, saddened that the lunch ladies defended the highly processed, faux foods, and saddened some of the kids clearly didn’t eat real food (or use real knives) at home. I am impressed with the results Oliver had in the UK and am rooting for him in his quest to have people in America improve their eating habits. After all, it’s a matter of life and death.

If you’re interested, he has a petition and more information on his website.

I completely agree with you!

I blogged about it as well last week and that whole chicken thing was so nasty!
