200th Post
Wow, this is the 200th post for this blog. Many thanks to the readers and commenters that have given input and helped to shape the blog. The feedback has been fun and interesting and I have learned a lot from the experience. Looking back at the past 100 posts, here are some of the most frequently read, searched, and commented on posts:
In the investment space, there’s a lot if interest in trying to see what the next major trend to dominate the market will be. I am concerned that it could be a high level of sustained inflation and mused at role inflation may have in shaping investment strategy, real estate, and early retirement.
I’ve received numerous suggestions on the posts related to a green and frugal lifestyle. Two that may be of particular interest are Green and Frugal Cleaners that explores natural, less toxic cleaners and Unplugged that looks at the energy waste of so-called vampire appliances.
From a food perspective, the recipes that have been visited the most are some of my favorites: Mexican rice bowls and Thai steak salad. There’s also been considerable interest in the suggestions on brown bag lunches.
Looking forward, I am planning to explore more about the psychological dimensions and challenges of saving and investing. I find it interesting that I have a different personality type than most other personal finance bloggers and that the struggle to maintain on track for saving continues to have similarities with weight loss. Please comment or email me with questions or suggestions for future posting ideas.
