Menu plan for week of December 29th

Since its still holiday time, I will serve a special meal for New Year’s Eve with red meat and a dark chocolate dessert. More about how we eat can be found here. Happy 2009.

Sunday: Crockpot white bean chili (made with a small amount of leftover Christmas roast chicken) over sweet potatoes, coleslaw, fruit salad

Monday: Leftovers chili over roasted veggies (sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, Brussels sprouts), salad, ambrosia

Tuesday: Indonesian spicy rice w/ egg (vegetarian), mixed Chinese veggies (napa cabbage, broccoli and snow pea blend), fruit

Wednesday: New Year’s Eve dinner: Grass-fed lamb chops, quick colcannon (mashed potatoes w/ onions and cabbage), broccolini w/ lemon, salad, flourless chocolate cakes

Thursday: Happy New Years! Crockpot Black Eyed Peas for good luck, braised collard greens, chipotle sweet potatoes

Friday: Out

Saturday: Leftovers, fresh orange coleslaw, fruit

I think I’m going to have to make the White chili one day. It seems like it’s on a lot of menus this week. Great menu!

Your menu sounds delicious. Broccolini is one of my very favorite vegetables! Happy New Year!

Shan and mandy, the white chili was good, seemed much lighter than traditional chili.

Scrumptious, it looks like I will be visiting your site for some ideas.
